HL Deb 05 March 1984 vol 449 c133WA
Baroness David

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What information they have regarding the future participation rate of women in full-time and part-time higher education.

The Earl of Swinton

In 1982–83 it is estimated that 12.0 per cent. of 18 year-old women in Great Britain entered full-time education as compared with 14.6 per cent. of men. The assumptions underlying the projections of the demand for higher education are currently under review and the Government plan to issue revised projections by about Easter.
