§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Wales, if he will show (a) expenditure planned in Cmnd. 8789, (b) the revised cash limit announced in December and (c) estimated outturn expenditure, for the following categories of local authority capital expenditure in 1983–84 (i) industry, energy, trade and employment, (ii) roads and transport, (iii) housing, (iv) other environmental services, (v) education and science, (vi) arts and libraries and (vii) health and personal social services.
§ Mr. John Stradling ThomasThe information requested is as follows. The £50 million added to the 1983–84 cash limit has not been allocated to individual service headings. On the basis of the latest information it is likely that the revised capital cash limit, which includes spending on services outside my right hon. Friend's responsibility, will be exceeded by about £10 million.
