asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what savings will accrue to the budget of his Department from the proposed closure of the Letcombe research station and the weed research organisation.

None. The Agricultural and Food Research Council, following its reorganisation, expects to continue the work commissioned by the Ministry which is currently being undertaken at the Letcombe laboratory and the weed research organisation.
