§ Mrs. ChalkerNo data exist for general motorway speeds. However, the 1983 national speed survey covered sites where road conditions enabled drivers to choose their driving speeds. The results from this survey, for each type of vehicle, are summarised in table 4 of Statistical Bulletin STC4(84)2, a copy of which is in the Library.
