HC Deb 21 June 1984 vol 62 cc206-7W
Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy to appoint to the London Regional Passengers' Committee representatives of London's women, ethnic minorities, disabled and elderly, if the London Regional Transport Bill becomes law.

Mrs. Chalker

Appointments to the London Regional Passengers' Committee are a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry. We have made it clear that the committee should be representative of the wide range of interests found among the travelling public.
