§ Mr. Scott646 persons were proceeded against for scheduled offences in 1983. Of these, 466 pleaded guilty to the principal offence and 61 were found not guilty in contested cases. The comparable figures for 1984 up to 30 April are 160, 142 and 10 respectively.
