§ The Prime MinisterThis issue will be discussed by the Budget Council in July. We have already made clear that in our view the preliminary draft budget for 1985 should be revised by the Commission to comply with the requirements under the Treaty that the ceiling of available resources must be respected. The Budget Council should take steps as necessary to ensure that the budget stays within the 1 per cent. ceiling.
