§ Mr. Tom Coxasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information is available to his Department about either the use by the police of women police officers acting as prostitutes to arrest men or about the incidence of cases involving such actions before the courts.
§ Mr. HurdInformation about the use of women police officers in this way is not collected centrally, and I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to his question on 22 May, at columns 396–97. Information about such proceedings as are taken under various statutes against men engaged in kerb-crawling is collected in a form which does not distinguish between those associated with kerb-crawling and other proceedings under the same statute.
