HC Deb 11 June 1984 vol 61 c366W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his latest estimate of the impact of the north east England drift-net fishery on Scottish salmon stocks.

Mr. John MacKay

My hon. Friend the Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, announced on 29 February that the question of the impact of the drift-net fishery off the north east coast of England on certain rivers on the Scottish east coast was to be looked at again. The results of that examination are not yet available.
