HL Deb 05 June 1984 vol 452 cc613-4WA
Lord McIntosh of Haringey

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether any obligation arises from the Treaty of Rome or any other community legislation which would forbid the gathering of statistical information on the amount and nature of trade between the United Kingdom and its community partners.

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (Lord Cockfield)

No. But if the noble Lord has a particular case in mind perhaps he would let me know.
