§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsNew projects by overseas companies announced since WINvest's inception in April 1983 and which the unit helped to secure are estimated to involve capital expenditure of over £82 million. The companies concerned expect to create up to 3,500 new jobs. In addition 10 investment projects by overseas companies already operating in Wales announced since April 1983 are forecast to provide over 300 new jobs and safeguard over 2,000 others. The capital investment involved in these is over £43 million.
