asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he is satisfied with the contribution to training made by the community programme.

Mr. Peter Morrison

My right hon. Friend announced on 30 July our response to the Manpower Services Commission's recommendation about the adult training strategy and the community programme. I am satisfied that these new proposals will enable the programme to make a substantial contribution to the Government's adult training strategy.

Mr. Forth

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he has determined the strategy for Manpower Services Commission community programmes after 1986; and if he will make a statement.
