HC Deb 31 July 1984 vol 65 c224W
Mr. David Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the fact that optional blood tests are not available in Scotland in drink-driving cases, he will undertake to publish the working party report on the Camic breath analyser.

Mr. Ancram

The option of providing a blood or urine specimen is available in Scotland to persons whose breath specimen, as measured by the Camic breath analyser, contains not more than 50 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. As the working party's task is to advise my noble and leaned Friend the Lord Advocate and my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State, it would not be appropriate to publish the terms of its interim report to them.
