The cost of constructing a motorway between Millbank and the border is estimated at £150–200 million.

§ Mr. AncramThe average 24-hour traffic flows recorded by the automatic counters on the A74 at Kirtlebridge, Dumfriesshire, in May and early June of this year were 18,094 and 22,540 respectively.
