§ Mr. Amessasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he intends to take to consult local 844W authorities about the new powers he is seeking in the Local Government (Interim Provisions) Bill to control certain activities of the Greater London council and the metropolitan county councils.
§ Mr. Patrick JenkinMy Department has written to the relevant local authority associations, and to the constituent authorities in the areas concerned, about the proposed new controls. A copy of the letter has been placed in the Library.
