§ Mr. John Stradling Thomas[pursuant to his reply, 5 July 1984, c. 239]: A complete breakdown of expenditure could only be provided at disproportionate cost, however, expenditure of £71 million was incurred in the period 1 April 1974 to 31 March 1984 on road improvements to the A470.
