Mr. Knox

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many motor cars were manufactured in the United Kingdom and how many exported, per person employed in the car industry, in each of the last five years.

Employment figures for those directly employed in the manufacture of motor cars are not available. The ratios requested therefore cannot be supplied.
