HC Deb 17 July 1984 vol 64 c141W
Mr. Peter Bruinvels

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what information he collects about job share schemes and the numbers of people involved in them; and if he will take steps to gather comprehensive data on their use.

Mr. Alan Clark

Job-sharing arrangements can be in a variety of forms and are primarily a matter for agreement between employers and employees. The Government do not collect comprehensive data on individual arrangements and such information could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. Information on the take up of the job splitting scheme and the part-time job release scheme is, however, published monthly by this Department.
