§ Mr. Alan ClarkThe review of travel-to-work areas uses ward-based data on travel-to-work patterns obtained from the 1981 census of population. Local authorities have been consulted about the provisional results of this statistical exercise, and where appropriate their comments have been taken into account in finalising the new areas.
