§ Mr. MacfarlaneFarm buildings are already subject to planning control, although many benefit from the general permission granted by class VI of the General Development Order. My Department's consultation paper on proposed amendments to that order, issued in January, included proposals for clarifying the present test which governs whether such rights apply, and for requiring specific planning permission for all livestock buildings and associated structures to be erected within 100m of residential or similar property. We are currently considering the many responses received to consultation.
