HC Deb 04 July 1984 vol 63 c203W
Mr. Terry Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services why a constituent of the hon. Member for Worsley, Mr. Arthur Doyle, of 46 School Lane, Irlam, woke up on 7 June in Hope hospital, Salford, from a general anaesthetic to find himself sharing a bed with another male patient; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. John Patten

I understand that Salford health authority, which is responsible for the management of Hope hospital, has already looked into this matter and has found no evidence of any sharing of beds by patients. The hon. Member may wish to contact the chairman for any further information he requires.
