§ Mr. ButcherYes. Over the past year the Department of Trade and Industry has had a number of young people on the youth training scheme at two of its research establishments. At the national engineering laboratory seven young people are currently on the scheme and a further six have already transferred from the scheme to full-time employment in the establishment. Work experience has also been offered to two young people at the Warren Spring laboratory.
