§ Mr. NewtonIf a war pensioner uses his war pensioner's mobility supplement to obtain on lease or hire purchase a Mini through Motability, the Department meets the full cost of any necessary adaptations, including the fitting of hand controls. If he obtains another type of car from Motability the cost of hand controls is met up to a maximum of the cost for fitting them to a Mini, currently set at £343.
