HC Deb 02 July 1984 vol 63 cc57-8W
Mr. Skinner

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons are on hospital waiting lists for hearing aids at the latest available date.

Mr. Newton

Comprehensive information about waiting lists at NHS hearing aid centres is not held centrally, but on the basis of the available figures for 31 May 1984 it is estimated that some 25,800 out-patients in England and Wales were waiting to have a hearing aid fitted or exchanged.
