§ Mr. Snapeasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will provide details of the consultation over the addition to the trunk road network following the proposed abolition of the Greater London council, and list who has been consulted.
§ Mrs. ChalkerCopies of the White Paper "Streamlining the Cities" and the consultation paper on the reallocation of transport responsibilities in London have been available in the Library since October.
Views were invited from local authorities in London, county councils in the south-east, local authority associations and from a wide range of transport and other interests likely to be directly affected by the proposals. Copies were also available on request to any individual or organisation who wished to comment. The consultation period ends on 31 January.
