§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for Transport what proposals his Department will bring forward in the light of the proposed abolition of the Greater London council concerning the future of the present south circular road.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe first step is to take final decisions about particular roads to be trunked including the south circular. I have asked for views by the end of January. As the consultation paper explained we are considering commissioning assessment studies about the possible options for improvement.
