(2) pursuant to the answer to the hon. Member for Leicester, East, 13 December 1983, Official Report, c. 392, if he has plans to revise the method of assessing the need for motorway lighting.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe Department has recently received correspondence regarding the provision of motorway lighting from the Royal Automobile Club, The Association of Street Lighting Contractors and the Lighting Industry Federation.
I have nothing to add to the comprehensive statement concerning motorway lighting referred to in my reply to my hon. Friend on Monday 21 November 1983.—[Vol. 49; c. 15.] Accordingly, my Department will be issuing further guidance on the assessment of road lighting schemes, including motorways, after consultation with the appropriate authorities.
