§ Mr. ButlerOn 8 December 1983 the rate of unemployment in Northern Ireland was 21.2 per cent. The number of jobs created in Northern Ireland in 1983 is not available. Provisional figures indicate that jobs promoted by the Industrial Development Board and the local enterprise development unit during the year totalled 5,982.
