§ Mr. Terlezkiasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make representations to the Soviet authorities, at the earliest convenience, to permit Soviet citizens wishing to visit their relatives and friends in the United Kingdom to do so.
§ Mr. RifkindWe take appropriate opportunities to raise with the Soviet authorities cases of Soviet citizens having close British relatives or a specific connection with Britain who wish to visit or settle in the United Kingdom but who are unable to obtain Soviet exit visas. The granting of exit visas is, of course, a decision for the Soviet authorities.
