§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeI should like to assure the hon. Member that I am very much aware of the proposals to provide bone marrow transplant facilities at the Royal Liverpool hospital. It was developments such as these that led the Government to decide that further development of BMT should be on a regional basis. It will now be for RHAs to decide how best their services can be developed and at what pace, taking into account their priorities. I am sure that in considering the development of their services, the Mersey RHA will take account of the facilities in Liverpool.
