HC Deb 16 January 1984 vol 52 c87W
Sir Hugh Rossi

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he proposes to take to ensure that the Housing Corporation has sources of independent advice on social trends related to homelessness and other matters to help it determine the viability of schemes presented to it by housing associations, as recommended by the Women's National Commission in its report on homelessness amongst women, November 1983.

Sir George Young

The allocation of its funds to individual projects is a matter for the Housing Corporation. In considering the report of the Women's National Commission I shall discuss with the corporation its recommendations on the evaluation of applications for funds for individual projects.
