HC Deb 16 January 1984 vol 52 cc86-7W
Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment to what extent his Department supports the reports comprising "The Conservation and Development Programme for the United Kingdom"; and what form that support will take.

Mr. Waldegrave

My right hon. Friend and his colleagues the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales have recently received a joint submission of advice on this Programme from the Nature Conservancy Council, the Countryside Commission and the Countryside Commission for Scotland. They are considering this advice and intend to discuss it at a meeting with the chairmen of the three agencies. They will then indicate their broad response.
