HC Deb 28 February 1984 vol 55 cc152-3W
24. Mr. Heddle

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in the light of recent judicial decisions, he will consider suspending the operation of section 152(4) of the Social Security Act 1975; and if he will make a statement.

Dr. Boyson

I assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the recent High Court case in which the judge found for each of three former directors of a liquidated company. On the basis of that case I am not prepared to suspend the operation of Section 152(4) of the Social Security Act 1975.
