HC Deb 28 February 1984 vol 55 c153W
27. Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many disabled people's organisations have written to him (a) supporting and (b) opposing the Government's attitude to the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons (Amendment) Bill.

34. Mr. Wareing

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many of the representations he has received concerning the Government's attitude to the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons (Amendment) Bill were substantially favourable to that attitude, and how many substantially hostile.

Mr. Newton

Forty-three letters have been received since the Government's attitude to the Bill was made clear in the House on 18 November last. Of these one supported the Government's view and 42 (nine from disability organisations) opposed it.
