HC Deb 27 February 1984 vol 55 c2W
Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will assess the implications of the recent security agreement between South Africa and Mozambique for British aid to Mozambique and for British interests in the area.

Mr. Raison

British interests, including the administration of development aid, are best served by the promotion of peace and stability in the area. We welcome any move which contributes to this.
