asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the number of householders in Scotland who have been the recipients of a water rate rebate in each of the past four years; what has been the total money paid out as rebates each year; and what percentage this has been of the total domestic water bill for Scotland.

Water rate rebates are given in Scotland only in respect of premises containing special facilities to meet the needs of disabled persons. Figures are not available centrally for the amount of such rebates or the number of recipients.
