HC Deb 21 February 1984 vol 54 c506W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government with regard to houses which are Orlit variants in Edinburgh and elsewhere in Scotland, where there may be the possibility of deterioration.

Mr. Ancram

As I indicated in my reply to my hon. Friend on 13 February at column81–82, whether the Blackburn/Orlit variant will be included in the scheme announced by my hon. Friend the Minister for Housing and Construction on 10 November will be considered in the light of the findings of the Building Research Establishment.
