Mr. Gould

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing annual flows of inward direct investment in manufacturing corresponding to table 3 of the annex to his Department's memorandum dated December 1982 to the Select Committee of the House of Lords on the European Communities.

Information on the annual inflow of overseas direct investment, excluding oil, into United Kingdom manufacturing industries from 1965 to 1981 at current prices is as follows:
