§ Mr. Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the nature and amount of EEC grant aid granted to industrial projects in the Huddersfield, Castleford, Pontefract, Normanton, Barnsley, Dewsbury, Wakefield and Hemsworth areas.
§ Mr. TrippierSince the inception of the fund in 1975 the Government have claimed ERDF grant in respect of its own grants to four industrial projects in three of the areas mentioned. The projects formed part of a larger claim, made in 1976, worth £742,000.
As provided for under Article 4.2(a) of the fund regulation, all grants from the European regional development fund in respect of industrial projects are retained by the Government as partial repayment of their own regional aid.
