asked the Secretary of State for Energy if the British Gas Corporation has been advised by his Department to sell the Wytch Farm oilfield to the Dorset Bidding Group.

Negotiations for the sale have followed a competitive bidding process. British Gas is currently concluding the sale of Wytch Farm with the highest bidder.
