§ Mr. Corbettasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is satisfied with the workings of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1961 in relation to the use of self-locking snares.
§ Mr. WaldegraveMy right hon. Friend is not aware of any difficulties arising from section 11 of the Countryside Act 1981 which prohibits the use of self-locking snares. If the hon. Member is aware of any use of this type of snare he should draw it to the attention of the police.
