§ Mr. PattieIn 1982, the estimated value of sales to military users by the United Kingdom ordnance, small arms and ammunition, explosives, motor vehicles, shipbuilding, and aerospace industry was about £5,000 million, excluding VAT, of which nearly 35 per cent. was exported.
