HC Deb 17 February 1984 vol 54 c336W
Mr. Mudd

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many community programme places are being supported for (a) the Falmouth, (b) the Camborne and (c) the Redruth travel-to-work areas; how many of these places are full-time and part-time, respectively; and if he will project the availability of places in each town from April onwards.

Mr. Peter Morrison

On 31 January 1984 there were 22 full-time and 66 part-time employees on the community programme in the Falmouth travel-to-work area, and 17 full-time and 30 part-time in the Camborne and Redruth travel-to-work area.

The number of filled places allocated to Cornwall is 1,000 and is expected to remain at that level from April onwards. The number of places available in particular areas depends upon the availability of sponsors and the quality of their proposals.
