§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what proposals have been made to him by the British Roads Federation for the future maintenance and management of the metropolitan principal roads now the responsibility of the Greater London council.
§ Mr. WaldegraveMy right hon. Friend has received the federations' response to the White Paper "Streamlining the Cities" (Cmnd. 9063). The federation favours 343W extension of the trunk road network in London and additional powers for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport in relation to traffic management in London.
