§ 39. Mr. Phillip Oppenheimasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what views have been received on Sunday trading by the committee of inquiry into proposals to amend the Shop Acts.
§ Mr. MellorI understand that the committee of inquiry has received over 7,000 submissions of evidence from organisations and individuals on shop opening hours, including Sunday trading. Until the committee has reported, it would not be appropriate for me to comment on the evidence it has received.
