§ Mr. ChannonEach case has to be pursued differently on its merits. But the Government pursue their rights under the GATT when appropriate. In other cases it is for the Commission to initiate action. The Government take appropriate action in the Community to secure such action by the Commission. It is not always possible to secure a satisfactory outcome in cases of the kind my hon. Friend has in mind, but every effort is made to do so. If my hon. Friend has a specific case in mind, I would welcome details.
