§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement about the progress of the negotiations with the People's Republic of China about the future of Hong Kong.
§ Mr. LuceEight rounds have now taken place in the second, more detailed phase of the Sino-British talks on Hong Kong's future. The latest round, on 25–26 January, was described by both sides as useful and constructive. The ninth round will be held on 22–23 February, again in Peking.
