HC Deb 15 February 1984 vol 54 c192W
43. Mr. Foulkes

asked the Solicitor-General for Scotland what representations he has received regarding prosecutions for the sale of cigarettes to children.

The Solicitor-General for Scotland

Both my noble and learned Friend the Lord Advocate and I have received a number of representations recently urging more prosecutions of those who sell cigarettes to children under 16. These representations have increased since the publication of the OPCS survey "Smoking among Secondary School Children".
