HC Deb 13 February 1984 vol 54 cc104-5W
Mr. Dubs

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if visitors from the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are charged for National Health Service treatment.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

We have reciprocal arrangements with these territories, so that their residents are exempt from NHS hospital charges to overseas visitors, in respect of treatment for which the need arose during the visit and treatment for which they have been referred to this country. They are not exempt from NHS charges payable by residents of this country, such as prescription charges.
