asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the average cost per household of the water rate levied by the Anglian water authority; and if he will give comparative figures for households in other water authority regions in England.

The following table gives details of the average household bill for water services levied by the English water authorities for the financial year 1983–84. The average household bill covers the cost for water, sewerage and environmental services.
